i love graham's comments on embodiment and that there are other greater bodies than ourselves that we are part of. what a tremendous and much-needed correction to american hyperindividualism that has crept into our piety, that kind of "me and Jesus" phenomenon! yes Jesus is my "personal" savior, but more importantly He is the Savior of the Church and the world into which i am placed.
amen amen. i too love his emphasis on embodiment and our connections to other bodies. it's not something i've given a lot of thought on but now i want to give it some thought.
