Oh yeah, President Bush sent them to Iraq....

wow is that sharp. the national guard is deployed down in gulf states, it's not a lack of military, it's the totality of the devastation. maybe it's time for New Orleans to start thinking like Amsterdam instead of lving in a bowl.

do explain the amsterdam comment. i was being facetious in my post. i agree completely with you- we do have the resources- how do we get them in to help those who need it so desperately?

i'm like everyone else- i want the problems to be solved immediately and folks to be rescued and helped right now- and the landscape is simply disparaging.

We Asburians are a bit thick-headed. Too much subtletry or words with too many syllables tend to confuse us.

most of the national gaurdsmen are NOT in iraq. they are here, training for anything that might happen on the home front. and they cant just send trrops down there without a way to feed, water and shelter them. if they do, they just add to the problem not help it.
